January 4, 2012 - Guess what I saw today on Hulu? A NatGeo Explorer episode, pre exposure of Fast and Furious (although the operation may have been going on at the time). They first show a Mexican law enforcement official presenting US made guns all but one of which were obviously military sourced, since they are full auto - one even had a grenade launcher! Cut to - guess who? William Newell who talks about all the guns going to Mexico from US gun shops. Then cut to a gun shop owner who is forced to say that, yes, if pass the background check you can take the gun in about 15 minutes. They do include comments by the gun store owner to the effect that, "We don't sell guns if we think something is wrong - I don't think any gun stores do." - It's an excellant example of how the mainstream press worked with both Mexican and US authorities to lie about the source of cartel guns. Imagine what they would have done with Agent Terry's death and the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans had Fast and Furious not been exposed. You can find the video HERE. The segment in question begins at about 15:15.

January 5, 2012 - Examiner.com: Gunrunning and the Felony Murder Doctrine by William Heuisler, Tucson Crime Prevention Examiner, makes the point that if Eric Holder ordered the gunwalking in Fast and Furious he could be charged with First Degree Murder. He believes that this may be why Holder is continuing to stonewall.

January 5, 2012 - Examiner.com: Breaking: ATF reportedly relieves Fast and Furious managers prior to OIG report by David Codrea, Gun Rights Examiner - one of the first reporters to break the story - reports that three ATF managers who were involved in Fast and Furious have been relieved of duty. They are William Hoover, Mark Chait, and William McMahon. McMahon was the supervisor who wanted info on F&F to use to further gun control. There was considerable controversy when these three supervisors were reassigned to better jobs a few months ago.

January 5, 2012 - ticklethewire.com: Atty. General Holder to Testify on Fast and Furious the hearings have been rescheduled to Feb. 2, They will focus exclusively on Fast and Furious. Chairman Issa issued this statement: “The Department of Justice’s conduct in the investigation of Operation Fast and Furious has been nothing short of shameful. From its initial denials that nothing improper occurred, to efforts to silence whistleblowers who wanted to tell Congress what really happened, to its continuing refusal to discuss or share documents related to this cover-up, the Justice Department has fought tooth and nail to hide the full truth about what occurred and what senior officials knew. Attorney General Holder must explain or reverse course on decisions that appear to put the careers of political appointees ahead of the need for accountability and the Department’s integrity.”

January 5, 2012 - The Washington Times: Holder facing further ‘Fast and Furious’ grilling - Issa targets ‘management deficiencies’ Mr. Issa noted that in December, the Justice Department explicitly told his panel it would not deliver subpoenaed documents relating to Fast and Furious created after Feb. 4. (Why do I think they are hiding a cover up?)

January 5, 2012- Chicago Tribune: ATF sidelines officials in gun sting debacle
Note on following two stories: The administration will not release documents requested by Congress on Fast and Furious - but they are happy to release documents on an unrelated Bush era program they are trying to use as an excuse.

If true, this provides a huge amount of support for the idea that guns were deliberately sent to Mexican criminal organizations in order to justify gun control in the US.)

NRA is undoubtedly going to pour millions into advertizing in order to get this message out to gun owners.)

January 25, 2012 - Here is a direct link to Issa's letter to Holder. Everyone should take the time to read Issa's letter. He makes a very good case that a major cover up is under way. February's hearings should be the hottest yet.

Comments on the "Minority Report" by Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa): “The idea that senior political appointees have clean hands in these gunwalking scandals doesn’t pass the laugh test. The American people want to see those who failed to act be held accountable.”

(Commentary: We should be surprised that the NY Times, the AP, Politico and House Democrats have "cleared" the Obama administration? We should believe that a few rouge agents conducted this operation when the ATF director is watching on internet cameras, a White House aide was kept in the loop and Holder immediate subordinates knew? Not to mention the fact that Holder refuses to provide any information after the whistle blowers spoke up. No, there is nothing more that the administration needs to explain. Yeah, right.)
